Synovus Bank Credit card department,
i ordered a secured credit card from first progress ( - ) by depositing $ -/-The card was issued but no bills were sent for the fees. I came to know of the fees only from my credit report as the credit card company reported for late payment. i sent a check to them as their website do not work most of the time. i was paying under protest but they never encashed the check. so that i can call them and they can charge extra. in the end i ended up paying for fees/late charges and - negative on my credit reports without ever having used the card. till date have paid more than $100.00 in fees. the purpose to build the credit failed as they are totally un cooperative. i recently learnt it is illegal to charge late fees and report me to credit reporting agency as per fcra rules for fees. there is something wrong in not using a credit card and have to suffer late fees and have my credit ruined at the same time.
