Amex Credit card department,
Fraudulent charges appeared on the account of the authorized user, American Express closed that account ending in - and opened a new account ending -. However previous merchants who still had the old account number continue to post charges. Last year - posted an unauthorized charge, which was disputed and reversed on the old account. The same another company. The account was issued in - 2015. On - - 2015 both companies posted fraudulent charges using the old account which American Express supposedly close, and posted to the new account number. The new account number was not provided to them by me. On -/-/- I called Amex spoke to - is Utah, he assured it will not post. On -/-/- the charges are posted, I spoke with - in - - and he gave the run around, finally he transferred the call to his supervisor -, who disconnected the calls. Once the old account is closed no one should get an authorization or post charges. Should be either is open or close, these charges were not authorized or consented by, American Express apparently allows fraud. This sort of activities must cease once the account number is closed nothing else takes place.
