Good morning, In - of this year I noticed fraudulent charges on my - - credit card. I called the credit card company and advised them of the charges and closed the account. It was quite obvious to see that the charges were not mine. I have a very consistent record of purchases, dollar amounts and purchase locations. The phone representative said he could easily see the charges were not made by me. He told me the card was closed immediately and that no more charges would be put on my account. I told him I did not want another credit card reissued. I then paid my legitimate card purchases balance to take the account to -. I received a confirmation letter that the account was closed, dated - ( letter attached ) In - I had to contact the - - again as they were trying to collect from me the fraudulent charges. The - - phone rep stated the account was closed and they were investigating the charges and I would not be charged any additional fees. I received another letter stating the account was closed dated - ( letter attached ). On - ( letter attached ) I received another letter stating the fraudulent chargers were being investigated and no payments would be required. On - I was shocked to receive another bill from - - with a NEW charge on - and late fees and interest charges. ( statement attached ) How can they charge me all these items for an account that has been closed since -? I feel this is an attempt at - abuse. This matter has caused me tremendous stress and worry.
