Citibank Credit card department,
I purchased Action item/timeshare Specialist on - for $510.00 ( see link ) : -Add Payment Accepted : *Cashiers Check*Money order *Wire Transfer *Credit Card *-Was unable to purchase directly through -/Timeshare specialist invoiced me directly through -. I paid for item through my - Account ( -- ). My CITI Bank card ( ending - ) tried to charge me a fee for a cash advance ( $25.00 ). I phoned Citi Bank & was going to cancel me card/pay off the card since this charge was a normal credit card transaction ( not a cash advance ). Citi Bank willingly waived the charge. A month or so goes by & Citi Bank tried to charge $3.00 interest where as my card is a 0 % APR for 18 months ( ends - 2015 ). Once again, I phone them & they said they will waive the fee only this month ( said, the charge was a cash advance ). I paid off my card in full the next day. Previously, I phoned - & they stated there is nothing on - item number : - which states -/credit card payments must be a cash advance. Citi Bank supervisors
emailed me this ( note - stated they never process credit card as a cash advance, although only - time the represenative said she saw it only - when account had no $ in it ) : Dear - -, Thank you for contacting - Customer Support today. As requested, here are the details of the transaction, in question : Transaction ID:-Merchant Name : - -, -. Date : -/-/2015Amount : $510.00 USDDescription : Credit Card Payment Sent ( Service ) To clarify, this was not a cash advance payment. Sincerely, - - - - -. All rights reservedContacted Citi Bank about this fraud & that I was going to report it. The supervisor said go right ahead, it does n't matter if the charge through - states anything about a cash advance, they will process it as a cash advance ( gave examples such as casinos, energy bills ... ) & that if I do the same charge again that it will be charged as a Cash Advance ... I paid off my card in full $1300.00 where as the $3.00 interest they will waive. I do not plan on using Citi Bank for any of my future banking needs ever. I found this incident should be reported to a government agency for especially the next person due to its nature of a very possibly fraud activity of Citi Bank credit card practices. Any questions or need further information please contact me ; thanks & take care. Yours truly, - - - ; - - - -, -, -, NV - - --
