U.S. Bancorp Credit card department,
My - - - - - - credit card recently had a large change in terms after having paid the annual fee. After I found out about it, I called in to complain and was told that the card could be closed, but no annual fee would be refunded since it had been more than - days since it was charged, but that as an apology, they would give me - points, which is not even close to the value of the fee. I recently found out that the representative who spoke to me was either misinformed or lying, and that due to the drastic change in benefits, - was indeed issuing refunds of the annual fee. When I called back, I was able to speak to a supervisor, -, who said while he empathized with my situation, he could not do anything more. I summarized the situation for him that now I had to suffer the consequences for a - error ( or a blatant lie ), and he agreed that that was the case and even said a complaint to the CFPB may be necessary as there was truly nothing he could do to close the account and refund the annual fee.
