Found company Commonwealth Financial Systems , Inc. has a continued open case against me in the amount of $470.00. The incident the debt is referencing is an amount owed to a hospital. At the time, insurance had been incorrect and, once corrected, the debt was removed ; however, as of - -, 2015 this institution is still showing the debt as active. When calling CFSI, they told me the debt had been closed out. Furthermore, they added uncertainly, they possibly '' sold to another third party, even providing me with a case # - for this new agency, -. Upon calling - and providing the case number, they said the case had also been closed and possibly '' re-directed me to - with a new case # -. This proved to be wholly inaccurate with -, as they had neither my information, that case, nor any debt of mine. As far as I can tell, CFSI is playing a shell game with a debt of mine that 's long-since been resolved. Bottom-line, if the case has been resolved with this company, then why it the open case listed under their agency? This is either a case of neglect or fraud. I am in the process of getting all of their paperwork involving the acquisition of the debt and anything proving that the debt has been closed with CFSI ; however, in the mean time, this unnecessary act of neglect on their part has cause my credit to suffer.
