About a week ago, I received a letter in the mail stating that I owe $560.00 to - from a collection agency by the name of Convergent. A year ago I had the same situation with a different agency stating the same thing and found out my mother had used my social security under false pretenses, and they got into contact with her and she did pay off the debt. The company did call me back to report this and now this company claims that it was not paid. I believe this to be a scam, as they are stating on the letter that they will settle for - on the letter, but will need $450.00 to be paid in full. Their is also to addresses on the letter, - from -, - - and then a P.O. box of -, - -. I am a - of - and this is causing me emotional distress, since this was settle last year and the account was shut down and they have complete access to her. Please contact me as soon as possible.
