NCC Business Services from Florida called me on -/-/15 - times and asked for my mother ( I am her guardian and have POA ) but they would not tell me anything about why a debt collection company was calling her. They asked me to fax over my POA papers but I refused since I did not know who they were or what they were referring to. I thought it was over and then on -/-/15 the same fellow called me back. I had my mother call them and give them permission to talk to me. I called the company back later in the day and he mentioned the amount was $2000.00 for repair of an apartment my mother had moved out of in -. I thought I had paid this and told him I would look into it and call him back. When I contacted my bank, it was confirmed that I actually did pay this same amount for apartment repairs in - and the bank is sending me a copy of the cleared check. So I called the company back and told them that they have the wrong information, the bill was paid and I was told to hang on. They had not asked for my name at this time or any information. It was a girl this time on the line and she came back on after a couple of minutes, apologized for the delay, and then the call was terminated. I called directly back, had the same girl, and the same termination of the call from their end. I reported this to the FBI and they suggested I report it to you as well. The name of the company they gave over the phone is NCC Business Services Debt CollectionPhone # -They were trying to get me to pay a bill which was already paid a few months ago. They are attempting to take money from the elderly. This is a scam.
