GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
My - credit card account was cancelled without notice. I received no paper or electronic notice. Not only is this inconvenient, but I had reward points that I had not yet redeemed and which - still owes me. The same thing happened to my wife 's account. She spent several hours on the phone yesterday and was told that they no longer have reward points records, although, conveniently, they do have records of outstanding balances. Today, I received an email from the new owner, Synchrony, encouraging me to sign up for a credit card that I thought I already had. I would like to receive a formal notice and explanation of cancellation from -. I would also like confirmation that this will not adversely affect my credit score. Finally, I would like a record and receipt of any reward points.
