Credit card Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was discharged in bankruptcy Virginia
I filed Chapter - bankruptcy in 2008 and all creditors, secured and unsecured were included. The bankruptcy was discharged and shortly afterwards, - of the unsecured creditors appears '' to forward the account to a - party collection agency, with a different account number than the original -. This same discharged account has been passed on to at least - other - party collection agencies, since the bankruptcy was discharged. I made an attempt to contact the - party collection agency a few days ago, and other than the individual on the other end of the phone being very nasty and derogatory towards me, she said there was nothing she could and provide her proof that the account was placed in bankruptcy.
