GE Capital Retail Credit card department,

I received a letter in the mail dated - -, 2015 from - Synchrony Bank asking for me to call an - number to confirm an application for a credit card ... I have never applied for a credit card for - ... The letter is signed Fraud Prevention but it does not appear legitimate and once again I never applied for a credit card.
