Taking/threatening an illegal action Sued w/o proper notification of suit Nevada

AmSher Collection Services reported to credit bureaus a debt which I never owed. It is for - -, which I still use and am current, and have been current, on my bill, but they say I opened up another account in - of this year and owe over $400.00. I have used Century Link since at least 2005 and when we moved over 3 years ago, we paid our balance and signed up for Century Link at our new home ( I am sure they would NOT have given us new service without paying off the old ). I have no idea how to respond to these people. I DO NOT OWE THIS MONEY! These charges are erroneous or fraudulent but either way, they are not ours and need to be removed before more damage is done to our credit! FURTHERMORE, we never once received anything from these people indicating that they thought we owed this money .... the - we heard of it was from our credit report which leads me to think they are bipassing the system as a sneaky way to conduct a fraudulent business.
