We signed with - - - - for service in -/-/-. Service was unacceptable, we paid what we owned and cancelled in -/-/-. We were contacted by a collection Co. ( - ) that we owed $100.00, ( date not remembered ). We contested the claim. On -, we received a letter from the - That noted Current Balance : Not Applicable ''. The letter also stated that the ... account is closed in our office ''. Not knowing what Current Balance : Not Applicable '' actually meant, so on -, I phoned, talked to an employee who said that they had contacted - advising we had contested the bill and - - had agreed we did n't owe anything. Stupidly, I failed to ask for this in writing. On-/-/- ( 3 yrs. later ), We received a letter from another collection company, RPM, that if we would pay $53.00, ( 60 % ) they would be willing to close our out standing balance ''. We contested that so they came back that we owed $100.00. What is needed at this juncture to establish that we do not owe this!
