Payment to acct not credited Idaho

A debt collector called and said that they are collecting from a pay day loan company that we owe money to. We informed them that it was paid off years ago and they said it was not. They said that if we give them our debt card number that they would only charge us for a smaller amount rather then the whole thing. We said no and that is when all - broke loose. He told us that he was going to take our car, license, bank account, house, everything. He also gave names and phone numbers of everyone in my family and said that he was going to call all of them. He did and used different names and different debt reasons. He also said that he has had people fallow us and has surveillance of everything we have done over the last 4 years. At this time we hung up and as soon as we did he call my father, mother and sister. At that point I called FTC and they had me talk to the FDCPA
