GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
Synchrony bank division handling - accounts has repeatedly delayed processing payments and then charged late fees. I believe this is a practice several costumers are facing and it is fraudulent. In -/-/2014 payments were scheduled through our online banking system to be made prior to the scheduled due date to Synchrongy. We have used our bank 's online payment system for years. We have never had a problem with scheduling our payments to be sent from our bank to another bank, even with our bank sending the payment via US Mail. Nevertheless, Synchrony was processing the payments in an extended time frame in comparison to other creditors. Late fees began. After calling Synchrony and having late fees refunded, upon their recommendation, I adjusted the payment date to an earlier date through my online banking to ensure timely processing. After - months, the delayed processing by Synchrony and late fees have begun again. If I had not been watching for this behavior, I might not have known to do so. Certainly, there are others who are unaware of Synchrony 's fraudulent tactics to make money in late fees.
