My elderly mother, who is -, has - Bank of America credit card, but they list - active accounts. They have been charging late fees and interest on defunct and active accounts. My mother was recently -. I have a Power of Attorney - for which they lost the paperwork - and - '' at Customer service demands I resend the Power of Attorney papers ( and account numbers ) by mail to a post office box in - -, Texas with no recipent name. Otherwise they wo n't close the accounts. This is a demand that poses a serious risk to my mother 's account. Unless Bank of America refunds their exorbitant late fees ( some listed at $25.00 ), I will not pay their final bill. I demand they close ALL accounts in my mother 's name immediately. They are thieves.
