GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
At the - office I signed up to pay the remaining balance - zero interest with Care Credit - now Synchony Bank. Since I am a busy working mother and Synchrony bank continued to ask me to move to to this method - I signed up for electronic payments. They automatically calculate your payment and it is drafted from your checking account. This process is easy and I have no complaints on that process. My complaint is this, in the email that comes each month is a link to a statement but in the body of the email is the amount. So I do n't have the need to look at the statement - I just go in and pay the amount. However, what I did n't know was this company does n't want you to remember when your promotional period is up. This is how they make their money. So, when my promotional period was up, I figured this would be communicated either in the email that I was sent each month or in the new payment amount. Wrong! They do neither. They say nothing about your promotional period expiring and they do not adjust your payment to pay the balance off. So, because I trusted this company to do the right thing, I missed the ending period. Now I have 2 years of 26.9 % interest. I owe more now than what I initally financed 2 years ago. $1500.00 in interest without - notification! I find this truly deceptive!! I called customer service and told them, but they do n't care. I have filed a - complaint as well.
