Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Georgia
I was a student at University of - and received a loan in - when I completed my education and it came time to pay I deferred my loans because I was having difficulty but citibank would not defer so the account ended up being charged off. I tried to call and make arrangments because on my credit report they say I am charged off but they are still charging a past due fee of about - every month on my account. The representative on the phone says the company does not accept payments anymore but the account is still theres and they can charge because I havent made any payments to them, and they havent for a long time they contract out and gave me the number to a collection agency. Now I went on the website and you can make payments but it says I dont have any active or full disbursed loans, so how am I still getting charged for an inactive account that they will not accept any payment for?
