I paid off my Aspire Credit card more than 2 years ago. Recently, I was notified by my potential mortgage lender that Aspire Credit Card has incorrectly reported on my account status with - with - different account numbers and - different statuses. Once as closed and paid in full '' and the other as closed and paid with a balance, '' this - - is incorrect and has not been updated since 2009. When I called to ask for a correction, they said my records were purged so they could not correct the account and would not send me a letter stating that the account was purged. Apparently it is their policy to delete all account information if it is paid more than - year old, but not a policy to update the records correctly with the Credit Bureaus.
