This complaint is about Portfolio Recovery Associates - - -. - VA -. I have attached a bill for collection sent to my elderly mother. As you can see it is clearly a scam. My complaint stems from the fact that this company is still in operation even after having - of complaints lodged against them. When I tried to contact them concerning this debt '' there response was to hang up on me. - times. - I asked for their physical address. I only now just received it because I told them we were coming to pay the $2700.00 debt they told my - year old mother that she owed. It amazes me that we have not system in place to protect the vulnerable from these dredges of the earth. This is a false debt and these people are criminals.
