The messages are usually quite vague, stating that the person is " trying to get in touch with - '' ( my brother ) and that they 'd appreciate if we could help them get in touch with him due to an " urgent matter ''. In most instances, only a return phone number is left and no mention of debt collection. My wife and I are estranged from my brother and have no way of getting in touch with him.
