Recently, they reported the debts to the credit reporting agencies without ever calling or writing. In the first case, they spoke with me about the dates of service but would not send me anything in writing, so I called the hospital who could no longer provide a statement to me since they turned over the file to the collection agency. I called the reporting debt collector ( Debt Recovery Solutions ) to find out what the debt was. The only information they would give me was that it was an ambulance company and it was a debt from 2011. There was indeed a ambulance ride in 2011 but it was covered by insurance. The bills were going to the wrong address according to the debt collector but they would not provide me with the name or phone number of the ambulance service.
