" Get a $400.00 bonus when you open a new Citigold or Citibank Account checking package, deposit $15000.00 of non-Citi funds within 30 days, and keep the funds there for 30 consecutive calendar days '' - Citibank website. In - Citibank widely advertised their promotional offer. They promised to pay $400.00 to the new users of Citibank account package/Citigold account package. $15.00 - deposit was required. Initial $15.00 - deposit should have been kept on account for 30 days. They promised to pay $400.00 bonus at the end of 90 days term. Link to the original offer on their website ( unfortunately, does n't work anymore ) : https : //banking.citibank.com/cbol/16/checking/aquisition/400-offer/default.htm - : I opened Citibank account package and made a qualifying deposit. Money was kept on account for 30 days. After 90 days no rewards were paid to my accounts.


- : Got a letter regarding investigation from -, specialist of Premier & Escalated client Services of Citibank. Letter stated : " A credit of $400.00 is being processed to your account in fulfillment of this offer. '' Letter is attached to this complaint. - : Talked to - from customer support. - confirmed that I was eligible for the bonus and it takes up to 30 days to process bonus. - : Citi still did n't pay promotional $400.00. Placed one more call to Customer Support to check the status of investigation ( from -, Reference number : - ). They say previous case was already resolved and they sent a letter to me. When I replied that I expect a result not a letter, they offered to create a NEW CASE TO RESOLVE THE PREVIOUS CASE. And provided me with a new case number : -. Amazing customer service experience. I 'm not alone, you can see many similar complaints to Citibank across consumerfinance.gov website.
