Citibank Credit card department,
I paid off my account with Citibank, including all pending charges, and asked to have my card canceled. A few months later, I was contacted and informed that another charge had been added to my account that I had not paid for. Apparently, this charge was not reflected on my account. I had been charged late fees for - and -. I called and asked to have this issue resolved and offered to pay for the late charge. However, they refused to waive both late fees. They waived the - late fee ( admitting that they had screwed up ), but refused to take care of the - fee. They also could not prove that the charge was made before I had ask the account to be canceled.
