Hi, I recently got a Citi Thankyou Premier card a few months back. I realized after a couple of months of use that the Citi Doublecash would serve me better than points, and after speaking to a few friends that had done a conversion to this card, decided that this would be the best path to take. When I chatted into Citi, they said that this would be possible, but I would need to call. When I called, I was told that I was simply not eligible for a conversion, and they could not tell me why. Since I have other friends who have done a conversion from this card, I am a bit offended that Citi has chosen to make me not eligible for a conversion, and feel that this may be discriminatory based off of factors that Citi is not willing to reveal to me. If this is due to discrimination, it is illegal and is in violation of the CARD act of 2009.
