Application processing delay California

Applied for a - credit card, have excellent credit, not a great card in terms of interest rate, however I like flying - and the bonus miles offer is intriguing. Submitted my offer and they demanded a copy of my social security card, a utility bill and my drivers license. I have never had to go through this for a mortgage loan, I said no way. The card is managed through Barclays Bank
