Using a Macy 's credit card issued by - -, I purchased on - -, 2016 men 's socks for a total of $21.00. A statement for that amount was mailed to me, which I should have paid on - -, 2016. Since I was overseas until - -, 2016, I failed to make that payment, as well as the payment for $43.00 which a subsequent statement required I make by - -, 2016. I paid $21.00 on - -, 2016 after seeing the initial statement in that amount, and a further $61.00 on - -, 2016, after seeing the second statement. I immediately asked Macy's/- to close my credit card amount. Nonetheless, I received yesterday upon my return from another trip, yet another statement which required me to pay a fee of $1.00 by - -, 2016. Upon calling Macy's/- on - -, 2016, they said they would waive the balance on the closed account ( $2.00, for another fee of $1.00 had been already added ), but when I requested that they send me a statement showing a - balance on the account they said they would not do it unless I paid them to issue it. I believe that for my own and others ' protection I had to bring this predatory behavior to your attention.
