I called to cancel my TransUnion credit monitoring service 2 years ago. Despite being able to sign up online, they did not offer a way to cancel online. During the phone call, i got verbal confirmation that my service would be cancelled and that I would not longer be charged ... however this was only after me repeating " please cancel my service '' for 20 minutes while they recited a sales pitch. Just today, I looking at a statement from an old credit card I realized they never actually cancelled my service. This is 2 years of $ -/month that they have been charging me without my consent.
