Medical Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid California

The doctor messed up when billing the insurance, so they never received payment. Once I was notified, I set up a payment schedule and made payments until the debt was fulfilled. Then years later I find out I have a collection our from them for payments that were already made! What worse is since this was so long ago, I do n't have any documentation and they never provided me with recipes to verify my payments. Also, I believe this was done because I had a terrible experience at the office and posted a bad review online, so they " lost '' my payment to file a collection.
