Amex Credit Card Complaint

I was having financial difficulties and turned my credit cards over to a company called -. They negotiated payment plans with my creditors. I completed the program and paid off my debts in full as of - 2016. I am having trouble with American Express. While I was in the program they reported my payments to the credit bureaus as either on time or reported nothing. But when I paid if off in - of 2016 they changed their reporting to the credit breaus to " - Serious Delinquency Charge Off '' and listed the amount I paid off which was over $12000.00 as the " charge off. '' All the other cards I paid off through the program report me as paid off and on time. But American Express makes it look like I defaulted. American Express uses a " customer service '' number of - for help with credit reporting. They are no help. I 've discussed this situation with them 4 times. First time I spoke to them they tried to say there was a period of 6 months in which they received no payments so I provided them a copy of the letter from American Express


they ca n't fix it. I sent them all the documentation and explained that it is a clerical error on their part, still they say that there 's nothing they can do. I 've asked to speak to a supervisor and they said one would call me back with in 48 hours but that was like a week ago and I 've yet to hear from anyone. If they 're not going to provide any customer service as this number they might as well just have a recording. I 've tried various other American Express numbers as well to see if I could find a person to help me fix this. But they all refer me to the same customer service number even when I explain to them that no customer service is taking place at this number. I have filed investigations with the documentation with all - credit bureaus. But this is all very time consuming and I am trying to refinance my house and this is holding me up.
