Recently I received my homeowners policy bill for -. I noticed that my policy amount had increased over 10 %. I made inquiry regarding the increase, and was told that it was because of my credit score/ and credit comments. My credit score ranged from - - -, during -. I have excellent credit scores. I was told that because inquires were made on my account, this was the reason why, my insurance policy rate was increased. I asked the person I was talking to this question! Each time companies checks my credit score or history, my credit score, is negatively being impacted. The person 's response was, " Yes ''. Why would a person 's credit be negatively impacted, simply because they are trying to find better rates of insurance on their homes, and/or autos? This does not make any sense. I could understand if a person, received credit, or incurred some type of increased debt, their score would be negatively impacted. However, simply inquiring or seeking to get better insurance rates, on their homes, vehicles, or seeking credit, should not negatively impacted, their credit scores. The system is indeed rigged. A person 's credit is dinged each time


simply for making an inquiry, is double jeopardy. I am requesting that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, investigate this matter. American Citizens, are having to pay higher rates for credit, insurance, and other financial transactions or instrumentalities, simply because inquiries are made into their credit history. Credit Card companies, and other institutions are receiving - of dollars, because of this practice. It should be illegal, for these institutions to decrease a person 's credit scores, solely because inquiries are made into their credit history. If a person 's credit scores must be adjusted or negatively impacted, it should be done, if and only if, credit is issued ... - -, - - -, -, NC - ... Email : -- Tele : - ...
