I used Care Credit several years ago to pay for dental work. Since then, I 've had to call them several times to report " erroneous '' fees applied to my account. After paying off my account this past -, I asked them to remove me entirely from their system. However, most recently I received a Care Credit - that I never requested. When I called to complain, they said I had received a mailing saying that I had been prequalified and that I needed to " opt out '' if I did n't want the card. The customer service person ( -, employee number - ) told me that the card was issued because I did n't opt out even though I was given " plenty of time to do so. '' Given that I receive " pre qualified '' notices all the time, this seems incredibly deceptive. I am willing to take whatever steps or provide whatever information I can to stop this company ( the representative said Synchrony bank issued the card ) from scamming other customers.
