-. Bank in question : BB & T, -. Problem : I have an existing account, a basic senior citizen checking account. The account was opened when the bank was - -, now taken over by the unfriendly mindless outsider, BB & T from -. They are completely clueless. I was sent an e-mail, informing me that my new printed checks and ATM card were ready for pickup. I had a mind-numbing conversation with - -, at - - - - branch.. Phone number -,. Fax -, e-mail : --. I presented my expired - driver 's license ( no longer drive : laminated plastic including, my photograph, plus


-. BB & T REFUSEDto hand over my new card and checks, stating that, their doofus " policy '' required a current photo identification card. I explained to - -, several times, that I wanted my money, earned thru years of -. She claimed she would NOT be able to comply with my request without the silly photo i.d . card. UNACCEPTABLE. I deposited the money, a United States Savings Bond, -, assuming I could spend, my personal savings towards a few items I planned to purchase prior to - holiday ; -, a digital camera, a few gifts for family members, etc. BB & T is holding MY MONEY hostage. I demand both state and federal agencies with oversight of banking regulation compel BB & T to answer the question : Why ca n't I withdraw MY MONEY??????????????????????????? BB & T should be, held liable for my incovenience.. Someone should be compelled to testify, under, oath, concerning BB & T 's mysterious attitude towards cosumers, which is cold, non-caring, and simply not acceptable. BB & T should leave the state if this the norm. - consumers demand and deserve better. Period. I served FOUR YEARS -.
