Funds were sent from my Venmo account erroneously to a user that I have never met and they refused to send the money back to me. I raised this issue with Venmo and they offered no support at this point I took matters into my own hands and stopped the payments through my bank ( ON PURPOSE ). Then I received an email from venmo saying " Do n't worry we transferred the funds to the other user '' and now your account is frozen until you settle the debt with us. These funds were purposely stopped by my bank at my request. I will not pay Venmo this disputed amount as I wanted to stop these payments. They have now frozen my account and will not let me delete my account thus holding me hostage. This is absolutely ridiculous. I would like my account deleted and will not be resolving this so called debt as I specifically stopped these payments ON PURPOSE. The fact that they will not unfreeze and let me delete my account has me feeling hostaged and trapped.
