I have a Paypal account that I have used for over 10 years primarily to make purchases. On - -, 2016 my Paypal account was frozen with the message, " Your account access has been limited for the following reason ( s ) : - -, 2016 : We would like to learn more about some of your recent transactions. '' I called Paypal and spoke with -, who told me that she could give me no information other than that my account was frozen for 180 days. My issue was escalated to -. He told me that the account was frozen and the money was being held to deal with any potential disputes with my account. He also could not tell me what transaction was the problem or why my account was frozen. I tried contacting Paypal again on - -, 2016. I received a message back that my account was permanently limited and my money would be held for 180 days. I currently have $3100.00 in my Paypal balance. This money was primarily loaded from my personal checking account to make purchases. Paypal has locked my account and is attempting to keep this money without offering any explanation. The closest I have got was that it was held for potential disputes. But this is ridiculous as there have never been any disputes in my account in the over 10 year history it has been open ( and also none since they limited the account nearly 3 months ago ). It appears that Paypal is attempting to steal my money.
