I have a company attempting to collect a debt they say was assigned to them. The company is not licensed to collect in my state. I never signed any documents allowing assignment of debt. I never signed any documents acknowledging right for them to charge interest on the debt. They failed to provide validation of debt, including license to act as collector, charge interest, or proof of assignment of debt.
