I have credit monitoring in place and received notice of - recent inquiries on my credit report - from Chase Bank and - from - Bank. I - are banks that service/offer credit cards branded by -. I called both banks to ask why the inquiry occurred and was told that I had applied for a credit card on the - web site by each bank. I told them I did not apply, nor want, a CC from their bank and to cancel the cards immediately. My wife then checked her credit report and found the same thing from these - banks. She also called to cancel - fraudulently authorized credit cards. We received the Chase bank cards in the mail on -/-/16 along with another mailing that we had also been signed up for a Credit Protection program that has a monthly fee that requires us to opt out manually. - denies that any of this occurred from their web site as it takes more than a simple button click to apply for the - credit cards. I 've put a fraud alert on my account and my wife 's account.
