Amex Credit Card Complaint

Amex Credit card department,

Rewards Maryland

I signed up for the AME- Platinum card during a card holder bonus sign up offer where you get - Membership Points if you spend $3000.00 or more within the first 3 months. According to representatives I live chatted and contacted via phone several times, the first 3 times of contact, they told me I had spent around $3400.00 for the first two times of contact, and the third time of contact, which was the week before my 3 month period came up, the representative told me since I had refunds made on the account, my new total was $3000.00, which is over the $3000.00 spend so I should be getting my bonus points ... that never happened. I called a few weeks later, the fourth contact to amex customer service, and now the rep told me that my spend did not meet the minimum spend of $3000.00 and that my total spend was just shy of it at $2900.00. This rep told me that my case would be forwarded to a supervisor for review, and she called me back a few days later telling me there 's nothing that she can do about it and that it 's a

the promotional sign up bonus. There should be no reason that I 'm quoted a different total each time I 've called or been contacted. It literally makes no sense that my total went from $3000.00 to $2900.00 to $2700.00. There was - refunds and credits done between the contacts between customer service, so I 'm not sure what 's going on, but I 'm missing - points which I should 've gotten but I did n't because of some serious miscommunication. I understood the first jump between - $3400.00 to $3000.00 because there was indeed a refund/credit, but the next 3 times makes absolutely no sense at all.
