I had a care credit account show up on my credit report back in 2008. I had contacted them to let them know this was not my account and asked them to send me supporting documents to provide me proof that it was my account. To this day the company has never sent me any documents and I have never made one single payment to them. The account has been a charge off account on my credit report for almost eight years.
