Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement Massachusetts

In - 2016, it came to my attention via my credit monitoring with all - credit reporting bureaus ; -, - and - that ( - ) credit cards had been opened and utilized in my name with American Express. I notified American Express both via the phone and by filing a complaint with the CFPB regarding these accounts. On - -, 2016 I received a response from American Express REF # : ( - ) concerning my case. In the letter American Express acknowledged that - of the - accounts was in fact deemed fraudulently opened where as the other - were still under investigation. It also stated that it could take up to 60 days for their investigation to be completed. This past Thursday. - -, I was notified a total of ( 3 ) times by their now collection company representing one of the accounts that I originally disputed ending in :-, the Amex Everyday card by their third party collection company ( - ). They confirmed that the account

filed a complaint with the CFPB concerning this. Needless to say, they did n't care and proceeded to warn me of my consequences if I were to not rectify this debt by paying them. I am now filing another complaint to the attention of Amex concerning the remaining ( - ) accounts that I have yet to receive a response on. Nevertheless, apparently AmEx has taken the liberty to assign and subsequently sell this debt to their collection company. First and foremost, I have never in my entire life had any accounts with this bank nor any of their co-branded affiliates. Again, I am disputing this account along with any other accounts that my be considered still open, sold or presently under investigation accordingly. Regards, - - -
