Credit card Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft Massachusetts

On Thursday, - -, I was contact via the phone ( 3 ) times from this collection company representing themselves as CENTRAL CREDIT SERVICES representing what they stated as their client - - concerning a debt. Apparently, - - sold this collection company this debt that originated from an - - credit card account that was opened and subsequently utilized using my personal information in a fraudulent manner. I first got wind of this account, along with several other accounts ( - ) that were opened using my social security number and sent to an address in -, Texas to which I have never resided. Furthermore, when I first came to realize this -/-/2016, I immediately notified - both over the phone and in writing via the CFPB portal, CASE # : ( - ) regarding this fraudulent debt. On - -, they responded that they were investigating these accounts and would get back with me accordingly. At this juncture, they have assigned this debt to their collection company ( CENTRAL CREDIT SERVICES ) to which I am disputing as Fraud. Regards, - - -
