Capital One Credit card department,
I posted my credit card payment the day it was due, - -. However, I live on the West Coast and was not able to do so until after -, or after - Eastern. As a result I was charged a late fee and interest. When previously trying to pay my bill, their website was often down, preventing me from doing so. I paid my bill on the correct day, and was still charged a fee, despite never having been " late '' before. I called customer service to find out what happened and this was what they explained to me.
