Performant is a collector. I have - defaulted student loans. I have been making rehabilitation payments of $410.00 a month off of a debit card since - 2015. I have also been making additional, voluntary payments of $580.00 a month. I noticed that although I made the additional payment a number of times on the first of the month, that it did not get credited by performant until the end of the month. I called Performant at least twice to try and find out whether the $580.00 was being timely applied to my debt ( so as to decrease the interest that accumulates ). Perfomant 's operators got irritated with and put me on hold for long periods of time. I never got a satisfactory answer.
