My mother is - years old and has been - ; she has a credit card with Discover and paid for the - insurance with them for over 30 years. Because of her age and - I am the legal power of attorney for her. We have contacted Discover numerous times to file the paperwork necessary to claim her - insurance to pay her credit card bill and have given them a certified copy of the power of attorney. Discover received the claim and instead of contacting me, the power of attorney, they called her to obtain additional information and she told them she does n't have - or any -. Discover continues to collect funds she does not have and makes threatening phone calls because she ca n't pay her bill. Discover is now threatening legal action against an elderly - woman who struggles to identify her own family let alone any credit card ( s ). On - -, we received a letter from Discover saying they are now going to turn this matter over to an attorney and take legal action on a woman who does not even know what year this is! We are asking for help to stop Discover 's predatory collections!
