I received a solicitation from one of my old credit cards, Chase Slate 0 % promotional rate for a year. The usual pitch. Take advantage of low 0 % promotion, transfer balance or large purchases. So I bit and once again Chase has bitten me in the -! My first payment is $610.00 MINIMUM! I have purchased other cards with less balance that I had with this one and the most I have ever payed for a minimum was $250.00. Now this is n't the first time this has happened with Chase. They had a class action law suit against them a few years back for the same thing. Before the bottom fell out in 2008 I had a couple of balances with 2.99 % & 4.99 %. I never purchased anything just transferes were put on. well after a few years they upped my minimum from something like $55.00 up to $700.00! I thought i would take a chance with them again because they had gotten sued for that behavior. Surely they would n't do it again. Boy was I wrong How can a credit card company with any conscience tell you to come to them and they will help you with that high balance oh but by the way we 're gon na - on your minimum payment and make it so high you 're gon na find another card to go with and by the way thanks for that $360.00 balance transfer fee. I 'm telling everyone that will listen NOT TO DO BUSINESS with Chase slate.
