My experience applying for a Chase Credit Card. I have excellent credit and was advised to apply for a Chase Credit Card by my bank 's branch manager. I was denied, not for a bad credit score or anything regarding my ability to pay but because I 'm very responsible with credit. I have - credit lines. I feel this is a fraudulent penalization and false advertisement on the part of - - Chase. If I would have known of this rule of having too many opened accounts within a 24 month period I would have never applied and wasted a hard inquiry on this Credit Card Application.
