Mariner Finance - is reporting a debt on my credit file. The debt belongs to a family member. They sent a check in the mail to my step daughter in her name for $710.00 and she cashed it at her bank. She failed to pay the debt and after they failed to get payment from her they attached it to my social security number and changed my name on my credit file to her name. We have disputed the fraudulent debt with - twice and the cfpb once, and they fixed it. Mariner however is still reporting it to - under my social security number. - has investigated it twice and are still saying it 's my debt. I have never been a customer of Mariner Finance and believe they have obtained my social security number, and are fraudulently and with malicious contempt to collect a debt under false pretenses
