AES/PHEAA Student Loan Complaint

I am currently on a long term modification with AES that is the servicer of the loan that was taken out by -/NCT. I am currently paying all my payments on time and in full and CAN MAKE THESE PAYMENTS. I called AES today because the payments are increasing. I told them these payments are to high and I can not make them and they told me they can not do anything to help me. I do n't know why they will not help there clients! I am willing to work with them and I advised them they will be going to default becasue I can not make more payments. They advised me I can not contact - becasue AES has been contracted now and they do not service them. I need help with repayment and there has to be another way to lower these payments or keep them the way they are. My credit score from these loans is already affecting me and can not consolidate or do anything. This is really un-fair that they are doing these to me when I want to pay!
