When I got my job at - 3 weeks ago, I was ecstatic. I had no income for the past 6 months and my girlfriend has been supporting me. I reached out to Citibank and went through the process of getting everything set up. Today, I got my first check and wanted to take my girlfriend out to a simple nice dinner. I Googled to see which was the closest Citibank branch, to only discover that there are more Citibank ATMs here in - - than there are branches. I found one near our home, so after work, my girlfriend picks me up & we both decided to go deposit my check. Upon our arrival, we see it 's a - - store ; we were n't sure until we see big CitiBank posters in the window, so I thought it was a legitimate Citibank ATM, located inside of the store. After I deposit the check, the ATM spits out a receipt,


mail telling me this? And you still send me a debit card, PIN, Checking Account number & Routing Number? So, we went home and I I 'M Citibank 's customer service, he refers me to Citiphone ( - ) -. The Customer Service lady explained to me that because I went to another banking institution, that I will not be able to have the rest of my money until the following Friday ( - - ). What other bank institution? The Citibank logo in on the machine. I asked her if a partial of the funds can be released ( $100.00 ) at least to buy food for the week. She could n't and referred me to call a branch in the state of - ( - ) - and maybe they can me. Are you kidding me? This is the worse bank experience in my entire life.
