I lost my American Express credit card and called American Express. They said they sent me a new card. I never received the card. I tried to call several times but the wait is over 20 minutes. I got a bill for the annual fee. I called to cancel because I never received the card. When I called they kept trying to sell me on getting a " blue card '' and a big promotion they were having. I told the rep I just wanted the $450.00 charge removed. He said yes for sure but I needed to apply for the blue card and must get a green card. He talked me into it so I agreed because I couldnt ' get him to just get rid of the card fees that i never rec 'd. A few weeks went by and AME- only credited $370.00, not the $450.00 they promised. I called several times but am not allowed to call from work. I work - hours a day because I am a sole provider trying to support a family. My husband lost his job in -. I can not call from work. I do not have time to call and sit on hold for 20 minutes. Today I called and sat on hold for 20 minutes. The rep, ID # - said he did n't believe me and would n't reverse any charges and kept talking over me so that I could n't talk. American Express is now harassing their customers and telling them lies and making them sit on long hold periods to steal their money, how is this legal? He would n't do anything for me but harass me.
